Pre-Heresy Imperial Fists Missile Launchers

Now that the World Eaters are in a playable state, I’ve decided to go back to the Pre-Heresy Imperial Fists that I’d started a while back. I’m planning on taking these to the Battle Brothers Doubles Tournament at Warhammer World with the Infamous Willard Foxton. Between us we’ll have 1500 points of Space Marines using the Imperial Fists Chapter rules from the current Codex: Space Marines. He’ll be taking 750 points of his Silver Guard (an Imperial Fists descended fleet based chapter that specialises in boardings), whilst I’ll be taking pre-Heresy Imperial Fists. My force will consist of (assuming I stick to the plan!):

Eight Tactical Marines with combi-weapon on sergeant in a Rhino APC

Eight Tactical Marines in a Rhino APC with a Dozer Blade

Ten Devestator Marines with Missile Launchers and Flakk Missiles

A Thudd Gun. Sorry, I mean Thunderfire Cannon.

An Aegis Line with a Quad Gun

Will is planning on taking a Tactical Squad, a Chapter master, a Dreadnought and a Stormraven that they can all fly around in together, like a giant, high value target for any enemy anti aircraft guns. I’m not convinced this is a good idea. I might shoot it down myself, just to make a point. But hey! It should all be a lot of fun.

Anyhow, here are the latest models – two of the missile launcher gunners for the Devestator squad. They use Forgeworld’s Mark III bodies with their older missile launcher set (the one that came with melta guns and flamers). That’s why you’ll note that some of the arms aren’t mark III armour. The chap on the right has had his legs cut and repositioned. Three out of the five Mark III models I got in the sets are running, which aren’t ideal for Devestators. So I’ve repositioned the bent leg to be stepping onto a higher piece of ground.

More to come later!
